No.1 since its inception in 1943
The story of Segers began in Borås in 1943. Gustav Segerqvist left his job as a carpenter, bought a bicycle and hit the road with a suitcase full of clothes.
Village by village he built relationships and customers. After a few years, the business had grown so much that the first seamstresses were hired and Segers Fabriker took shape.
What started with a bicycle and a strong entrepreneurial spirit has grown into an international company – but with the same fundamental conviction as then: that quality, long-term planning and close relationships always matter.

90% of Seger's range is manufactured by our own staff in Ukraine. We were early to take responsibility for good working conditions for all employees. Our code of conduct has for many years been a natural part of the work to ensure healthy working conditions at our factory and at our suppliers.
For many years, we have owned our own production units in Ukraine and Estonia, which gives us full control. We can offer you as a customer the opportunity to visit our factory to see how we work with environmental and social responsibility. We have had several visits from both customers, suppliers and other external companies and organizations.
As an employee, you have the right to work in bright, hygienic premises with good heating and ventilation. Working hours are in accordance with each country's legislation and everyone receives compensation for overtime and paid vacation as well as provisions for pension and insurance. Segers also takes responsibility for helping the local population outside the obvious employer areas. This has included purchasing defibrillators for hospitals and materials for schools.
