How to include embroidery to your order
1
Choose garment
Go to the product you want to buy, e.g. a chef's jacket or an apron. On the product page, there is an option for embroidery.
2
Open the embroidery option
You can find the embroidery function by first clicking the "Select size" button. In the pop-up window, click the "Embroidery" button. In the popup you can often choose between the following depending on the chosen product:
- Name embroidery: Up to 3 lines, max 20 characters per line.
- Logo embroidery: Upload a vector file (.eps, .ai, .pdf) or a high-resolution image (.jpg). For logos, an embroidery card will be created with a starting cost and we will match the thread colors. Small details/complex shapes may need to be simplified.
- Flag embroidery: Choose from the 11 most common European flags for placement on the collar. Other flags can be arranged through our customer service - email customercare@segers.com.
3
Choose style and color
For name embroidery you can choose between 6 fonts and 10 standard thread colors. You can also choose to add a logotype above your name embroidery.
4
Decide placement and size
Common placements are left chest on tops and centered on aprons. Maximum size for logo embroidery is 9 cm (left chest on tops) and 12 cm (aprons). We also offer placement on left and right arm on most chef jackets.
5
Add text or upload file
Enter a name (for name embroidery) or upload a logo (for logo embroidery). Save your selection and the embroidery will be linked to that particular product.
Tip! Enter your embroidery card number if you have already ordered before and the same settings will be downloaded automatically.
Tips for best results
File format: Use a sharp image with high resolution for the best result. Accepted file formats are: JPEG, JPG, SVG, PNG, TIFF, and TIF.
Level of detail: Avoid very small details and thin lines in the logo. Embroidery is done with stitches.
Contrast: Choose a thread color that is clearly visible against the color of the garment.
Dimensions: Stay within the maximum sizes and standard heights.
